Chase....that thoughful hubby....is not much of a surpriser. He realizes that his wife likes a nice surprise every once and while and is nice enough to think one up every so often. He thinks a darn good surprise for her is jumping out of the shower without a towel on.
Kate and Chase really like to go to the horseraces when they get a chance.
Chase loves to spend hours reading the program and figuring the odds. After a long calculated decision, Chase likes to make ONE bet on ONE horse that he sees fit to win.
After spending a good while eating her nachos and drinking her beer, Kate likes to make her well calculated bet on each horse in the race. She sees this as a win-win situation. If you bet on all the horses, you win. It's that simple......she doesn't like to lose.
Chase knows the meaning of a hard day at work. Though he never complains, a tough day for him might consist of a 12 hour day, building fence, working cattle, working his horses, welding a gate, and working on the house....among other things. He can do all of the above in 110 degree heat with no water or food.
Kate thinks a hard day at work consists of waking up before 8am, the internet being down, and a long checkout line at Target. It's rough on her when lunch falls past 12pm.
Finally, when dining out, Chase searches dry erase boards and menu inserts for the daily special or the cheapest item on the menu. He REALLY enjoys getting the cheapest meal available whether he likes that particular meal or not. He is never caught ordering any drink, but a water.
Kate LOVES dining out and thinks the more the merrier. Kate always opts for an appetizer, a meal (with the extra $1.25 for the potato fixins), and a good beverage. Chase is really annoyed by this and tries to make up the difference in the tip. Being a former waitress, Kate knows this, and always fakes going to the bathroom so she can go back and leave the proper tip on the table!!

my horserace bets consist of three things. The name of the horse, the size of the jockey and the color they are wearing that day.
