So I am just chomping at the bit to change our gameroom/family room thingy. It's a little out dated....DEFINATELY, but it has soooo much potential. Here is the breakdown of the disagreement.....
Kate: Why leave the panelling if there is sheetrock behind it?
Chase: How do you know there is sheetrock behind it and how do you know it's already taped and bedded?
Kate: Cause I just know.
Chase: Well, I like the panelling and so does your grandpa.
Kate: Yeah, and y'all are the only two. Besides panelling was probably cool in my grandpa's day and that doesn't mean you have to keep it. It's not like you are still wearing parachute pants.
Chase: Like who doesn't like it?
Kate: EVERYONE. Watch, I'll call them.
Chase: Well, I'll call Dustin and Blake. They like panelling. If you take the panelling down, what color will you paint the wall? Brown like everything else? I hate brown!
Kate: The panelling IS brown, you ding dong! And I'll just pull it off when you go out of town! Why are you so against updating your house and increasing it's value?!?!
Chase: NO, no, no! You aren't going to. I LIKE THE PANELLING!!
Kate:
Chase: Haha...fine, but you can't do it!
So, that's the plan. I rigged the competition and chugged a few glasses of water before getting my starting weight...so I think I'm already ahead.
Since I'm like horrible at diets and Chase sooo called me out about not doing it....I've got to do it! I will be accountable to my blog readers!!
Here is the room in question. Cute fireplace, tile floors....and FAUX WOOD PANELLING!
Wood panelling EVERYWHERE down there! Along with wood cabinets in the kitchenette, a faux wood panel kitchenette island, wooden doors, wooden trim......OH yeah...and a faux wood pool table.. YECK.
Let the games begin!
