Ok here comes one of those "working late" blogs.....you know the kind; where I ramble on with no pictures.
Here are a few Richardson "Opposites Attract" facts to fill up what could have been useful space in your brain.
**Mr. Richardson never opens Mrs. Richardson's mail or packages and kindly stacks them on the countertop until Mrs. Richardson is available to open them. Mrs. Richardson opens her own mail, then opens Mr. Richardsons. Not because she is nosy, but because she likes getting mail and doesn't get enough of her own. Mrs. Richardson also can't even make it into the house with the mail. She opens it at the mailbox and puts the already opened mail she doesn't like back in the mailbox. Mr. Richardson frowns upon this.
**Mr. Richardson is a health nut type of guy (shocking I know). He believes in cardio everyday, strength training, watching his portions, and eating healthy. He likes to cook for Mrs. Richardson and will often make a nice grilled chicken breast with some fresh grilled asparagus. Mrs. Richardson is not quite so healthy (shocking I know). She thinks cardio hurts, strength is for dudes, portions limit her freedom, and healthy eating consists of that grilled chicken, but with 2 cookies, Texas Toast, and a REALLY big beer.
**Mr. Richardson is a do-it-yourself, do-all kind of man. He is an EXCELLENT cowboy, welder, skiier, student, employee, tile layer, cook, money manager, pool player, and husband. Mrs. Richardson wishes soooo much that she had alot of cool trades. She counts beadmaking, internet shopping, teaching her dogs tricks, and watering the potted plants as a few of her skills. She wants so bad to beat Mr. Richardson in something/anything......even if it's only Wii Tennis.
**Always conservative, Mr. Richardson will use the same plastic glass all day for his drinks. He likes to save grocery sacks, re-use empty pickle jars, and filter his own water in a reusable pitcher. He also keeps his home's thermostat on a strict schedule of temperatures and times. Mrs. Richardson WANTS to be conservative and she did change all of her lightbulbs to that new swirly do good kind, but lacks in other areas. It is not uncommon to find 10 empty water bottles in her car at any given time. She is also working on closing doors behind her, turning out lights when she leaves a room, and learning to sleep in sweltering heat (since she isn't allowed to turn the thermostat down to 60 degrees anymore).
** To her credit, Mrs. Richardson thinks she can decorate and home improve pretty darn good. She can make any room look good with just a can of paint and some curtains. Mr. Richardson doesn't understand any of this. He doesn't like the colors Taupe, Toasted Pecan, and Dusty Trail and thinks his whole house should be painted green because "that's my favorite color". Mr. Richardson has been caught hiding Mrs. Richardson's "really cool" zebra print throw pillows in the closet when utility workers, contractors, plumbers, and/or friends stop by. Mr. Richardson also thinks that his old college textbooks should be displayed on the formal living room book shelves because "people might want to read parts of them". Mrs. Richardson forgot that our friends and family just LOVE coming over and reading them some Organic Chemistry.
** Mr. Richardson keeps a calm, cool, and level head during times of panic. He can quietly and quickly come up with a perfectly logical solution to any problem. It would take World War 3 to ruffle his feathers....maybe. Mrs. Richardson could star in a television ad for overreaction. She thinks a "Tornado Watch" is grounds for ripping up the carpet to get under the house and hunker down (with a can of bug spray of course). She believes that spiders actually try to hide in throw blankets, shoes, and jeans and you have to give everything a shake before you use them. She is always the first to assume that a dog will bite you, a horse will buck you off, and a cat will give you ringworm. All it takes to send her over the edge is running out of Diet Coke and mascara.
To be continued...................... =)
