It's my party!

Well, it finally happened for me! The Morrison's threw me a surprise birthday party!! I worked very hard at trying to find out about it, but noone budged and I truely believed it just wasn't my year AGAIN. It was GREAT and I LOVED it! I think I need one every year!
Unfortunately, with it being a surprise and all......I didn't have my camera =(



And somehow today, my hubby decided to do some more home improv for me.

Which almost always includes.....changing out a light!!!!!!!!!!!

Only this time, what's supposed to be simple...wasn't and under the previous fixture was a giant hole. So he spent half a day buying, cutting, and pasting sheetrock to my little light hole.




All because I REALLY like this little guy!

Praise the Lord for flush mount mini chadeliers. The selection of fun lighting is few and far between when you live in an old home with 8 foot ceilings.

I assured Chase that unless he hit an 18in growth spurt in the next weeks.....he more than likely won't be hitting his head on this one.




And while we're here. I OH SO CLEVERLY painted over this light switch and light plate.....so I could have Chase change them for bronze ones.............

BUT.....apparently he doens't get the hint or refuses to get the hint....because my little plate and switches have sat here in this corner for WEEKS now haha. I'll just keep waitin......I can definately wait him out!



Husband says NO dogs on the couch....and he's caught Jake twice sleeping on this oversized chair. His solution? To pull the cushion up every night. This makes no sense to me considering.........................



this is where Fedders sleeps every night! Apparently, someone gets special treatment around here and it's NOT for good behavior.
