I won this!

I have to do this............

1) Thank the blogger that gave you award. - (Thank you "near" Future Mrs. H, I'm excited to have a new blog to read!)
2) Share 10 things that your blog readers may not know about you. (There's not much you DON'T know about me these days, but I'll try!)
3) Present this award to 7 bloggers you find brillant in content and/or design, or those whose blog has encouraged you. (I love you all....so anyone can present this to themselves!)

10 things you may not know about me....

I don't like very many sweets. I like some flavors of ice cream and maybe a few kinds of cookies, but the rest makes me want to gag. I hate doughnuts, waffles, pancakes, pastries, pies, most cakes, whip cream, cobblers, brownies, etc, etc, etc. Which would be great for a diet....IF.....I didn't love EVERYTHING else!

My VERY first car was a Turquoise Geo Storm. No A/C, no radio, dents galore, and you had to climb in from the passenger side. I hated my parents for this, but now that I'm over it.....I think I'll do the same to my kids. Bahaha.

With that said, My friend Kaydee and I were one of the first ones in high school to get our own cell phones (that's how old I am).........so we would take turns going to the bathroom to call eachother so our phones would ring. I was definately THAT cool.

While in college.........I once pawned off my radar detector for gas money to get home and my video camera to get my friend's car out of impound (it didn't occur to me that pawning $600 worth of merchandise for a total of $97 was NOT a good idea) and I only made it Holiday, TX on my pawned gas money...and my mother had to drive out and get me.

I can't/won't sleep at other people's houses, but I LOVE me some hotels. I can't figure this out.

Growing up, my dad always had a "deal" with us that if we made straight A's for a semester, he'd buy us anything we wanted. ANYTHING. I managed to pull this off a few times. The first time, I asked for a stray dog.....I got it....and then it "ran away". The next few times, I asked for pet rabbits....which ultimately died sooner than later for various reasons. Hmmm I think I know someone that was smart enough to get straight A's, but not smart enough to think that concept through....and sadly, I think my parent's knew this.

I bribed the jewelry store lady into telling me if Chase had bought the engagement ring I had picked out and she did. Chase is STILL so mad about this...he vows to never set foot in that store again.

I didn't kiss a boy until I was almost 18. Once again....I was THAT cool.

My husband Chase, was my landlord when we first started dating. I fell in love with a tiny $26,000 house, but I had NO money........BUT I knew someone who did........so I BEGGED Chase to buy it and he did. For the next year, I lived and worked in Chase's tiny house and he lived at home with his parents. I paid him $300 a month and all of the utilities. Almost 6 years later, that tiny house was one of the best purchases Chase ever made....you know, second to buying me a ring =)

And finally, my mom gave me a Dorothy Hamill haircut in elementary.....I guess it didn't go over too well because I've had really long hair ever since.

my mom so gave me the same haircut. I guess it was the thing to do when you had a child in the 80's
