Deck Them Halls Y'all!

This evening I had a smile permantley attached to my face. I left to go to the grocery store and I noticed that tons of my neighbors had put up their X-mas lights! Well, being a new neighbor and all, I didn't want to disappoint. I was at Walmart 2 seconds later stuffing lights in my cart. So far, I candy-caned the columns (see Chase I told you we needed columns.)

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

Enough Said

This is my formal living room tree. My mom HATES theme trees so naturally if you ever were to ask me, I'd say the same. However, secretly I like them. It's something interesting about having a tree decorated entirely in birds or bows or some other junk like that. So, in honor of my Mom, I will definately have my ornament tree full of memories. In honor of my secret tree theme lovin side, I will have a theme tree as well. Check back later to see what it becomes. I promise gaudy.

While we are hanging out in my living room, check out my cool new furniture!!!!

So the official Richardson tree is in the gameroom and it's full of the cutest ornaments ever and has no theme whatsoever. Once again, my mom is an "ornament person". So I am too. It's amazing how you can turn out just like your parents. If you ever go my Mom's house and you ask her about her tree, she can sit there and name every ornament and what it means. "This one you made in Sunday School when you were 3." "This one is a rocking horse because you loved horses when you were 5." "This one came in Cuatro's Happy Meal when he was 7." You get the point. Here are a few of my favorite ornaments and what they mean to me!

This is one of my all time favorites because it looks just like a Catahoula sleeping 0n a bone. I bet my dogs dream about things like that. =)

I think this is the cutest ornament ever and a gift from my Mom. I love me a good 'ol seahorse.

This one just cracks me up because I bought it before I was even engaged and I just thought I knew for sure that Chase would propose to me before Christmas. Well, he didn't, but I stuck my dang engagement ring ornament on my tree anyway that year. Take that!

That's all for now. Tomorrow I'm going to Decatur to have a late lunch with Chase. Hopefully he will get to come home for Thanksgiving lunch.
