Today was a beautiful day and now that Lyla is 7 months old, we thought it would be a great day to introduce her to her ponies!

And she was EXCITED about that.

This is P2, Chase and I bought him from the 6666 Ranch in 2005. He was a 90-day broke gelding who we thought would be GREAT for Chase's cowboying needs. And he was. He can rope, he can drag cows, he can do it all. BUT....Chase always said he was so "dog gentle" that he lacked the "fire" he wanted in a ranch horse. I decided then and there that he would my unborn child's first horse. I was sold on dog-gentle.

It was love at first sight. He's such a sweet horse. Pretty....not so much.

There are a few other prettier selections available, but nothing as friendly as Ol' P2!

Happy with her selection, we will now start training her for Rodeo Queen. It's like Toddlers and Tiaras without the stigma. I have sashes, glitter, crowns, and rhinestone visions in my head already!

Lyla Christmas 3 and 4!

Santa came. He came to see me and Lyla. Sorry Chase. Naughty Listed. And being the perfect parents we are...we had a swing and one other toy for her so we threw in some gifts she got the night before at her grandma's house (she won't remember haha) and put them in with our Santa toys to make it seem like a haul. Thankfully we didn't get her much though because when it was all said and done..she came home with a house load of toys...no idea where to put them!

Christmas #4 at Gambi and Papa Creech's. We had brisket and sausage and all the sides. Lyla got 1 million toys..I'm pretty sure that's the number. But she was awfully fond of this sack as well.

Santa came to Christmas #3 at my Grandparent's house. She was digging him even though it was past her bedtime at this point. Check out those legs.....legs of a dancer.

Christmas is ALMOST here! We are getting really excited around this house. My husband even got me THREE things this year!!! The one in the middle cost him a fortune, but it just keeps giving!

Lyla's First Dairy Tour

Our friends, Matt and Hollie, came to stay with us for a few days and Hollie had never been to a dairy and wanted to go. Well....as it turns out, our friend Amber's Dad just happens to own a great dairy! So we loaded up kids and drove out to Windthorst, TX to the Schreiber Bros Dairy.

Lyla slept through the first 30mintues of the tour in her stroller.

But as soon as she woke up, she realized there was so much to see!!

Like tons of baby calves! Here's the guest of honor, Hollie Williams.

Afterwards, we went inside the barn and watched the milking. I didn't take my camera because all of those people and cameras sort of stress the old heifers out a little. But Hollie did some milking and sampled the product. She gave it 2 thumbs up!

Trick or Treat-Baby Style

Lyla's 1st Halloween was so much fun! She dressed as a cowgirl...which wasn't my 1st choice, but the most economical since we already had the romper and boots!

She got a can of formula and a toy from her Nene. I was SO excited about the formula...that stuff costs a fortune! Her and aunt Lindsey and Uncle Cuatro got her Ellas Kitchen baby food. It's her all time favorite. Again, excited about that too! Haha. She also got lots of candy that her Mom and Dad could eat for her!

Someone woke up at 5:30 AM this morning because of the time change...so Chase moved her to our bed! I woke up to this! So precious and I'm pretty sure Chase will kill me for posting, but I love it!

We were expecting bad weather this afternoon so I filled Lyla in about thunder and lightening, hail, and tornados...she was a little creeped out!

Creeped out, but getting really really good at sitting on her own! So proud!

What Happens in Vegas Stays on Facebook, Blogspot, YouTube...

We Headed to Vegas last weekend to see my cousin Adam marry his girlfriend Kaylee. We had a blast!!

But before the wedding, we had a little fun. As soon as we got to the Wynn, we made a reservation for the SW Steakhouse. It was delicious and VERY entertaining. In the middle of our patio dinner, a giant frog popped up over the waterfall and sang "it's a wonderful world"!!

What a Disaster!

Well that's what Chase and I call her anyway. We can be heard around the house saying "What a DISASTER!" repeatedly. I guess I got what I had coming...and that was one heck of a fussy baby! Paying for my raising? Is that what they call it?

Yep, that's me in the picture below. No makeup. Haven't showered. Haven't brushed my teeth.

Just doing the best I can with a screaming baby in a pink princess tutu.

That's because I tell her all of the time that I'd much rather have a cute screaming baby than a not cute screaming baby.

I never knew this, but desperation changes people sometimes for the better and for the worse.
I have NEVER fought more with my husband that I have in the last 3 months.
I have NEVER felt more united with my husband than I have in the last 3months.

And if I hear "This too shall pass" one more time...I'll start screaming with her. I know it will pass...I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday...but in "screaming baby time"...nothing "shall pass" QUICK ENOUGH!

Totally not planned, but my BFF Amber and I had babies 2 days apart! She called and told me she was pregnant last October. I got off the phone with her and started crying to Chase....I wanted to be pregnant WITH her!! But sure enough...I was already pregnant and didn't know it!

The day Blake and Amber checked out of the hospital, Chase and I were checking in!!! Gage was born 6-4-11 and my little Lyla was born 6-6-11.

We have a sneakin suspicion that we were both up to the same thing last September after leaving one of our many cookouts with them!!

101 Ways to Suck at Being a Stay at Home Wife

I'm sitting here...staring at my sleeping baby. WOW...she sleeps...I know its only moments until I hear that shrill cry...so I'm just killing time until our next session of dancing around the house to The Judds. I go back to work tomorrow. Realtor time! I realized that for the past 2 months....I've been a stay at home wife. I suck at it. In my head....a stay at home wife sleeps until 10am...goes to the gym...then "lunches" with friends. I always wanted to do that......and yet...in the last 2 months...I've done ZERO of that. There are 101 ways I suck at being a stay at home wife...and here's just a drop in the bucket.

1. I watch the clock WAY too religiously looking forward to Dr. Phil.
2. I now know that even if I'm home all day....I still wont clean my house or iron my husband's clothes.
3. My biggest excitement of the week is running out of formula so I can go to Target.
4. My biggest let down is realizing that even though I'm not working....my husband still makes me cover my half of the bills. HA! He did slip me a "20" the other day for formula. I guess he doesn't know it's acutally $34.
5. I rarely shower or wear makeup. Heck...I rarely make it out of my PJs.
6. My utilities are higher because.....I'm here all day.....and as mentioned in #4....my "part" of the Richardson Household Expenses is....wait for it....TO PAY THE UTILITIES.
7. My husband expects a homemade dinner at night that I'm not willing to prepare. HAHA just kidding. He knows better.
8. People are starting to notice that I'm commenting on Facebook 5 seconds after they post something....because that's how much I'm on Facebook.
9. My excuse of "Whewww long day...let's have a beer".....isn't making much sense anymore.
10. And finally....my couch cushions are starting to sag from wear and tear and I realized that I won't have money to buy new ones if I don't get BACK to WORK!

I still envy the stay-at-home moms and the Real Housewives of whatever County, but I'm sad to say..it didn't work for me like I had planned it. Maybe I'll try again in a few years.

Parenting Richardson Style

Once upon a time...there was a guy and a girl and they had a baby girl.

They had no idea what they were doing.

And God wanted them to have a crazy baby instead of a nice quiet one.
Enter: Lyla B Richardson...the wildest/rashiest (not a word) baby in town.
You love to start your mornings out by sometimes drinking your bottle OR sometimes not drinking your bottle by taking swings and spitting it out.

You can be found laying around the house naked all afternoon....due to one of your many rashes...the diaper rash. Mom and Dad aren't sure how it got there because we change your diaper like nobody's business...and paint you up with Butt Paste. When that didn't work...we gave up diapers all together...it's still there.

Then your Mom and Dad spent a small fortune on special skin products that your doctor reccommended.... for example $12 for 50 baby wipes isn't easy on the pocket book, but we are doing it anyway. Not to mention special shampoo for your flaky head. Special body soap for your bumpy skin. And special hypoallergenic lotion for everything else.

AND you're STILL the rashiest baby in town.

In the evening...you can be found screaming your lungs out between the hours of 9pm and 12am. And I was hoping that walking around the house bouncing the heck out of you for 3 hours would help me lose the "baby weight"....but no such luck. Regardless of how bad my back hurts and how sore my arms are...I guess it's not considered a work out.

Then at 12am on the dot....you crash.....and I mean CRASH. Like dead to the world. Then your mom does a victory lap around the house, chugs a beer, and dives into bed. And I wish I could say that I fell straight to sleep, but I dont. I lay there and watch you for hours...to make sure that you are staying asleep.

Yes, little one, you are quite a handful. If you ask your dad about this when you're older...he won't remember. He goes to bed at 9pm. Is this a coincidence or no?

But believe it or not...we still like you. Not just a little, but alot.

And sometimes you like us too (or it's just gas...not sure)....I know you wish sometimes that we could figure this whole baby thing out, but we are learning...and I'm sure we will have everything figured out by baby number 2......haha just kidding...I think you will be more than enough baby for us....one's plenty.

In the mean time...we will proudly tote our little rashy baby all over town ....and happily empty our wallets for whatever our little muffin needs! And the thing that your Mommy and Daddy find most amusing is......that we wouldn't trade you for a "non fussy" baby any day. We have come to find out that we prefer YOU in any variety that you are.

Here comes my baby!

It started out a great weekend. My best friend Amber had her baby, Gage, on Saturday and I had a baby shower. I had a pretty good day on Sunday as well. Then, Sunday night, Chase and I were in bed and Chase was reading nursery rhymes to my belly. I was laughing soooo hard at his interpretation of Mother Goose...that I thought I had peed my pants........but it wasn't long before I realized that it wasn't exactly pee. We ran around the house and packed a few things and tied up some loose ends.

We checked in and got settled at 11pm. I had no contractions or pains. By 1am I asked for an epidural and I had Lyla at 6am! I thought 7 hours from start to finish was pretty quick for a first timer.

We love our baby so much!!!

Since I'm on the home stretch for having this baby......and since it's starting to get awfully warm outside.....I've been cranking down the AC. I prefer it to be in the 50s.....but will settle for 60 degrees. I woke up in the middle of the night last night....well like several times, but anyway....this is what I saw. My side...preggo pillows, tums, humidifier, bottle water......and my husband....well he's no where to be found.....completely buried under the blankets and shivering on his side!!!! Bless his heart!!

Today I found the perfect preggo dress!! Very long to hide thighs and swollen ankles....CHECK. Sleeves to hide white pasty arms....CHECK!!......Not cheap, but do-able price....CHECK!
Only comes in a size 2....WTH!!! So much for that.

That's what I've been up to. I've been swamped at work (which is great) and have been putting all that money to good use! I found this cute thang yesterday!

And when I'm not buying baby clothes....I'm buying food! And this is my favorite thing at the moment...with TWO brownies!

And the best surprise ever...a former client called and said she had something for Lyla! Look at those precious hair bows and leg warmers!

And finally her bunny pictures for over her crib came in! Just waitin on the daddy to hang them! I found them at Dimples and Dandelions......oh my gosh I love that store! Thanks alot to the Mama that told me to quit salt....she told me about that site too.....she just wants me to get in

I used to count up...as in...just 3 more weeks until my 20 week appt.....now I'm counting down....12 weeks to go! Sometimes I say 10 weeks because it wouldn't hurt my feelings if she came just a TAD earlier.

My mom said I was 2 weeks early and really big.....so maybe she will do the same.

My mind is consumed ALL things baby and I believe I'm becoming a pest to my husband....."I'm out shopping for the BAAAABY".........."Come look at this hair bow for the BAAAABY".........and my all-time fave "Here let's pretend we are holding a BAAAAABY".......I still call her a BAAABY....and just like I type it, I say "Baaaaby".

People ask me all day...."How do you feel?" and I say "Great", but here's a few things I'd like to add about how I feel right now.

1)I'm hungry....like starving. Duh...anyone could have told you this, but I didn't know the DEGREE of hunger.

For instance....sort of embarrassing, but yesterday I ate: 3 bowls of Lucky Charms, a bag of Gardettos, 4 Nutter Butter cookies, 6 slices of pizza, 1 Dr. Pepper, a slice of bread, a large plate of Chicken Hunington (which consists of noodles, chicken, and velveeta), a cheese filled bread stick, 6 Oreos, and 4 MORE Nutter Butter cookies.

I quit weighing myself at 20 weeks, but I did sneak a peak at the scale this morning.....I'm just going to say...it's probably more than any stout 6'2'' man should weigh. And oddly....that doesn't even phase me...I'm already planning my next meal.

2) Husbands are soooo sweet to their pregnant wives! As sweet as mine is...I still won't let him forget that I'm the one doing most of the work over here and I spend a great deal of my day making sure he hears about my aches and pains.

I asked Chase yesterday for help with the baby book. It asked what were "Mommy's Interests and Talents" .......Chase said "Real Estate, Shopping, and Eating"......which made me cry....only because he was serious....and only because I know it's true, but I was hoping there would be a little more to "Mommy" than that. So I wrote ugly things down on "Daddy's" side. Kidding!

But seriously, a very sweet side comes out in hubbys and Chase takes super good care of us and it makes me happy.

3)What's up with swelling?! It's not even summer!! Just half a day of showing houses and my feet are comically huge!

Depending on the weather...I'm either out showing houses in Ugg slippers or flip flops...which is unprofessional, but I have an obvious bump so everyone's nice to me anyway.

A friend and mother of 4 suggested that I needed to cut out salt....and I smiled and nodded....and then went home and flew off my handle. I told my husband that I have had to give up EVERYTHING that I liked for the past 7 months and I WOULD NOT give up the only thing I had left (which according to me at the time...was salt).

Probably a little over dramatic, but I had a lot of built up anger because I wasn't allowed to have a beer, sleep on back, travel long distances, drink coffee in the mornings, wear normal clothes, wear normal shoes, etc, etc........Salt was the straw that broke this camel's back. So I didn't give it up and I'm sticking with the pasty tree trunk legs....which will look GREAT in the bridesmaid dress I'll be wearing 4 weeks before my due date.

I'm sure I'll have plenty more of this baby brain to bore you with, but for now...I have to go. I have to meet my NEW CLEANING LADY at the house. I told you husband's were nicer. All it takes is a little crying-while-trying-to-dust-with-swollen-feet-AFTER-you-got-home-from-working-all-day.........apparently that will score you a maid.

Lyla's Room....Part 1

The baby room is coming right along....it helped that the furniture finally arrived!

And I'm still working on her dresser and I'm waiting on the artwork over the crib, but until then....here's a sneaky peak!

We decided to leave a big bed in the room....at least for now. =)

I spent Valentine's day minus one certain Valentine....but he still managed to get me a gift.

Although....by far the most UNromantic gift I have ever recieved.

Which I needed SOO BAD due to a case of......

And I want it to say her name: Lyla Brooks!

Then the horse on the sign reminded me about something that I want for my daughter more than anything. Her needs her own horse! I was raised riding horses and "working cows" and I want her to be too (which may be why I married a cowboy type man).

But anyway....

I want her to have her very own beautiful horse........someday.

BUT for now....her momma insists....she have one these first. A REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY old horse. I want people to look at her first horse and say "Geeeez is that thing about to die" and I'd like answer "why yes he is, thanks for asking".
Id also prefer him to have major arthritis and a knack for laziness.

I can already see her tiny self following her Daddy around on her old horse "checking cows".

Hey everyone!
I'm way over due for a blog post, but I'll get with it shortly.

Over here at the Richardson house we've been:

Working on our new rental.....or let me re-phrase....paying a contractor to work on our new rental......we just couldn't do it ourselves this time. =(
Chase is off working and I'm in this little situation that some people call pregnant.

I've been working on sweet baby Lyla's room....soooo stinkin cute and I can't wait to post pics! I just have to wait for the furniture to get in next week!

I've been working on MY house.....we bought this fixer 7 months ago and then ended up preggo. Not a good idea, but we are working like crazy trying to finish by June..... I don't plan on doing any remodeling once da bebe gets here!!!!

I will try to get with it on pics!

A NEW baby!

I JUST said last week that I needed a hobby to occupy my time for the next 20 weeks. I don't need them dragging by.

Well before I could blink......Chase and I became the proud owners of this new baby.

She needs some work, but she will be BEAUTIFUL when it's done.

Here are the befores and hopefully I get it painted this weekend!

The Front....I ALWAYS paint shutters black...it's a rule of thumb, but I'm kinda thinking I like Robin's Egg Blue with White......just freshen them up with a fresh coat.

Then we will remove that weird lattice and trim the bushes!

This living/dining room will get new windows, new flooring, and new light fixtures!

And the kitchen gets nothing but paint and a few appliances =).

And the bathroom will only get some elbow grease!

And 1 of the 3 bedrooms.

I think she's purdy!

20 LONG weeks of Pregnancy.

I like to consider myself a blogger and I will blog anything, but lately......I thought that a huge part of my life has gone undocumented/unblogged.

My BABY!

BUT....I just realized that my pregnancy was a little more documented than I thought.

My dearest hubby works out of town and apparently....I have been sending him pictures everyday for the past 20 weeks. I just uploaded my phone card.

Here are my 20 weeks in photos (well about 1/4 of them anyway...there were soo many!!!)

Poor Chase. I didn't realize I sent him so many silly pictures everyday.

So....I found this out.

So I took some more!

1st appointment I realized was AWFUL.

AND I had to give blood on top of that....it was horrible.

I had to show Chase my war wounds.

I found a new love for the toilet and decided makeup was overrated at this point.

I was SICK... ALOT...and I wanted him to know! It took too much effort to get out of bed...much less brush my hair and put on mascara!

See my tear?!

I tried these out. Not that great.

At 10 weeks I took an intelligender....IT's a GIRL!

And I'm still crying. Here I was crying to the song "Roll on 18 Wheeler" by Alabama.

I guess it got to me!

Halloween rolled around and when I wasn't eating candy...I was handing it out....to the Morrison Boys.

But I was still sick....

Baby got it's first gift! A rocking horse. Jake like it.

Baby also fell in love HAMBURGERS and I ate them twice a day...EVERYDAY.

13 weeks rolls around and I took another intelligender.....this time....ITS A BOY!!!

I road tripped to Odessa to see Chase.....in my awesome compression hose!

Thanksgiving came and went....

And I was still crying....but at least wearing makeup again! Ugh and chapped lips like nobody's business!

Ultrasound a day before my birthday.....Survey says: It's a BOY!

I invested in my very own doppler and I'm certifiably obsessed with it.

Heartrate....154!!!

Christmas is here!

Apparently "Carter" was actually our "Lyla"

And I knew I had to run out and get a few things for "Lyla" to replace the boy things.
Then I was hooked!!

Me and my preggo BFF Amber, spent New Years Eve in the hospital waiting on the first baby of 2011 to be born in Wichita Falls.

Tucker Kent Teague was born at 1-1-11 and he made the local news!

Welcome back from the Christmas festivities. Of course I get to having so much fun that I forget to take pics, but I got one at my in-laws house Christmas morning.

(Change that fan LINDA!)

We had a pretty good Christmas this year.....Chase was able to come home Christmas Eve and Christmas Day....hey...it's better than nothing!

But he did bring a little Strep with him. So far...I haven't caught it!

I'm now in my 4th month of pregnancy. Soooo much fun....NOT. I'm past the sickness, but I've decided that pregnancy is boring and restrictive and I don't like it. I'm not a fan of rules either.

But...I guess it's not about me anymore is it?

Speaking of babies....geeeez they cost a fortune! I decided to go pick out my baby furniture today......you know.....like a crib and dresser set for $500.

Boy, I was WAY off!

I picked a crib, a mattress, a dresser, a hutch, a glider, and an ottoman.

I got to the checkout.....$2,200!!! And that was after my mom paid for the crib.

Good grief!

When I called Chase and told him the damage, he told me to take it back!

He said: "That's too much money for a baby crib"

Come to find out....he thought babies just needed a crib only and thought I had bought a baby bed for TWO GRAND haha.

So I had to explain to him all the furniture pieces that babies and mommies need.

So since I spent a boat load....might as well throw in an outfit!!!

And baby is starting quite the collection.

And baby also got the giant diaper bag he had his eye on. Good thing Mommy gets to carry it.

It showed up the day before Christmas Eve from the best hubby ever.

I debated on not answering the door because I was soaking wet in a towel, but decided what the heck.
Good thing too....I had to sign for it.

I was 2 for 2 that week when it came to answering the door half naked.

Earlier it was the power company who saw me in my underwear!!!

Hopefully we have enough money left for diapers by the time he gets here!!

Christmas #1

We had our first Christmas celebration tonight at my Mom and David's house.

Chase had to miss this one, but I ate his cookie for him.

My Mama did a super cute tree this year.

She also makes us our own Christmas cookies with our names on them. Even Baby Carter had one. Pretty handy that I got to eat it for him.

I also didn't realize that not yet here babies get gifts already!
He got a onesie, some more cowboy boots, and this super cute cow blankie!

We had tons of snacks and I mangaged to get a pic of just 3 things! We had enchiladas, guacamole, chips, salsa, queso, finger sandwiches, pinwheels, pigs in a blanket, deserts, and 7 layer dip.

While I was at my Christmas....my dogs (DUGAN) got to together and decided to give their Mom a Christmas present of their own. This is their thought process (I'm assuming).

"Hey, we're like 6 or 7 years old....we lay around everyday....and we haven't torn up anything in years...so you know what we should do?!?......we should just TEAR up our expensive leather collars and TEMPURPEDIC dog beds. Yeah that's a great idea....MOM WILL LOVE IT.
WHAT IN THE HECK WAS HE THINKING?!
I blame Dugan, because Jake wouldn't dare do anything wrong and Fedders is little.
So I pointed at the bed and screamed at them for like 5 minutes. Jake was in the corner tail tucked and rolled over on his back (ALWAYS and we've never beat him). And Dugan is wagging his tail like crazy as if my yelling is just super fun.
But I'm over it...they made their bed and they can lie in it tonight...I'm going to bed.

Little Baby...I mean seriously little......has already received TWO gifts! He got his very first rockin horse from his Mama....that's MEEEE! Yeah yeah...I know...it will probably sit there for like 2 years before he can use it.

But MY Mama picked him up a little something while she was in Houston this weekend.

My Mama also happened to know that baby's daddy has green topped cowboy boots.

Bowling Birthday

I had a great birthday!! We went to eat with my in-laws and then decided to go bowling with the Morrisons and Whiteleys afterwards.

I've been MIA for a while because I have been dying to tell!

I wrote this the week I found out and saved it.

So here it is.

Baby Time!

And I don't mean 4-legged bebes. Sorry Fedders...long gone are your glory days.

Perfect timing. I found out it was "baby time" Friday morning Oct 8th before a closing. I was shaking and scatterbrained the whole time I sat in the title company office.

Also....our 2 year anniversary is Oct 11th. Sooooo with Chase headed home for the weekend I decided to surprise him.

With what he thought was JUST an anniversary gift.

But there was more......I'm a little obsessive....you might be thinking...WHY DID YOU TAKE 4!!?? But in reality...it was more like 35, but I only chose to show 4. I just kept taking them cause I liked watching the line show up haha. Fun game and I would always win.

Oh and he did have a REAL gift in there as well....the notorious IPAD...which is pretty sweet I might add. I should get wife of the year. But I think he doesn't even remember he owns an IPAD now. Hellooooo Mr. Shell Shocked!

But I'm super duper excited. And as a matter of fact....even MORE excited than super duper because my BFF of all time Amber Morrison (the Morrisons with whom we do EVERYTHING with) had called me a few days earlier to announce the same news for her!

We estimate we are about the same amount of weeks along...give or take a few days.

And of course I'm TERRIFIED TERRIFIED TERRIFIED of this doctor business, but what can I do?

I'm sure by the time you read this....I will have mastered my doctor's appt like a champ!
(Update: I DID survive a trip to the doctor. AND let me tell you. It was just as bad and worse than I ever imagined! Now I know why I avoid those places. Not sure how I'll handle a delivery, but there's no going back!)

Procrastination Saturday!

I'm not going to lie....the past few days....or weeks...or pretty much months...I haven't felt that great and on top of that...I've been LAZY!!!!

My husband abandoned me this beautiful Saturday to go.....fix fence.

I guess that's important if you want to keep all your steak on hooves in one place.

Well that leaves my day open to get caught up on all of my housework, laundry, etc.

Not to mention CLEAN OUT MY CAR. It's in desperate need of help. You can find trash, orange peels, coke cans, and a ton of other stuff that's been laying around in there for a month now.

Don't be disgusted.

And even the back is full of junk....a sheet? a sweater? More TRASH!

But instead of cleaning and cleaning out my car...I slept in, then drove to Walmart in my PJs, bought Eclipse, and came back home and crawled back in bed to watch it. HEHEHEE.

After my movie...instead of cleaning and doing laundry, and cleaning out my car.

I decided to make Christmas cookies. Which I RUIN EVERY YEAR BUT STILL CONTINUE TO TRY.

How do all of these cute cookie cutters....

Create this ugly tragic mess.

Which is a bigger mess once I got them off the cookie sheet. Guess I won't be needing those sprinkles.

What wasn't a fail.....was my homemade pimento cheese on Hawaiian Rolls for my brother's Xmas Party tonight!

And this homemade Cheese Ball turned out great as well.

Well, now that I'm done procrastinating, blogging, baking, etc. I'm gonna TRY to clean that car.

Then I'm headed to a tacky Xmas party.

Well, I'm still here and let me tell you....I could really blow up this blog with posts right now, but I won't. Anyway, I haven't really been up to much of anything except work......speaking of..... I had a banner month of September....which is fun.

I haven't been working on my house, but I'm getting a second wind....slowly getting a second wind. I think I'm 1 week away from being fully recharged and then I'll be ready to push forward with more projects. More projects mean more pictures...so at least I'll have something for you to look at =).

Other than that, I'm chilling like a villain.....just waiting on the cold weather......so I can bust out in my new "reindeer Uggs". Not sure why I've been calling them Reindeer Uggs, but that's what they remind me of and BOY DO I HEART THEM!

So many play on words with that title.

It's no secret and I swear I've posted this before, but I'm obsessed. LITERALLY obsessed with the way things smell. I use like 50 dryer sheets when I dry my clothes. I have like 5 billion air freshners in my car. And don't even start on my house. I have glade plug-ins EVERYWHERE...AND a Scentsy going in every room. Just a little obsessed. If you know me...you knew this.

One of the biggest compliments I ever recieved...my brother-in-law, Colton, told me my house smelled like the Finishing Touch. You know...one of those overwhelming candle and fragrance stores.

So...these make me happy. I keep a big box of refills of all different scents.

However, these make Chase unhappy. He is CONVINCED they start fires. Whatever...only if they run out of oil and MINE DONT!

So...he never says a word about them...but secretly unplugs and hides them from me.

Like the one I found just a moment ago. In the spare bedroom closet.
Found ya lil feller! Now get back to work!

to the nice folks down at the Kate Spade shop in Northpark Mall.

I had no sooner left my mom in the Petite section at Macys (we all know I'm not "petite" so I have to shop elsewhere....which is a whole different story with a 5 foot nothing TEEE NINE EEE Mama and a 6'7'' lanky Dad..and I come out "kinda tall and chunky"....don't get it, but anyway..) I stumbled across the Kate Spade shop....and quickly remembered my dream coat a few posts down. The Kate Spade Mona Coat!!

So I figure...why not...pop in and see it in person. You know...really see what $745 gets ya.

Well...believe me. It was PRESH! And believe me AGAIN when I say....these girls really wanted a sale and I was the only one in the shop.

So...I try it on.

OOOOH it's CUTE!!!

EVERYONE agrees that I must get this coat.

Ok now what. I don't want to tell them that I can't spend that kind of money.

So...I say...well...the large may be just a little snug...or I so would buy it.

BUT WAIT....it comes in EXTRA large and they happen to have one in the back.

And guess what....it fits perfect!

And they rave about the way it looks with my eyes.

OH my gosh..this coat is sooo cute and I'm thinking...I still can't buy it.

So....I say...ok could you please hold it and I'll run to my car for my credit card.

Funny thing...I remember when I set it down..I thought to myself "I shouldnt leave this camera here...Chase will get mad...and I'll forget it's here"......so I've been looking like crazy in places that I think would make Chase mad???? I have no idea...but that's what I remember the last time I set it down. I checked his filing cabinet..and that's the only place I can think would make him mad....UNLESS I set it down outside somewhere??

Well....guess who got their first NEW appliance EVER!? That's me! With a tightwad for a husband..all of our appliances have always come from family left overs or garage sales....but not now! It turns out...we needed a fridge for one of our rent houses....soooo Chase decided to put our old fridge in it and buy us a BRAND SPANKIN NEW Black Beauty. Yes Black. I spent 45 minutes debating black vs. stainless.

I decided Black and never looked back.

LOVES IT.

The quality of this photo is unsurpassed. Dang Phone.

Now about this dishwasher.......I mean perfect match to that gorgeous formica, but...

And don't even get me started on that linoleum!

Oh if I could only have a gazillion dollars and some super handy

skills....I'd have my whole house just A.MAZE.ING.

Definately.....what a wild week! I've been running around like crazy.....selling a bunch of things.

I've had a garage sale......I've sold houses......all kinds of stuff!

My best good friend's mother is in the hospital right now and I've been doing my best to help her too.

That stuff is really hard to deal with....and I don't always know what to do, but I did my best! And will keep trying.

Speaking of selling things....if you live here and you want a piece of this backyard fun...just wait a few weeks and you can have it! Well....not really have it, but you know. It will be on the market soon.

And guess who got her first nephew!! This girl! My brother and Lindsey got their very own GoldenDoodle named Ted...actually his name is Theodore Franklin Moseby Cash Nolan Ryan Scholl Hyphen Lunn (or something along those lines).

Long name aside..he is super duper cute and fuzzy! WANT!

In other news...I'm short 1 hubby AGAIN. He will be home again this weekend.

I called him yesterday to proclaim that the car I bought a few months ago is OFFICIALLY a LEMON.

What's wrong he asks?

Well.....

1). The back tire has a slow leak. It appears to be losing pressure daily.

Husband says: That is not really a problem...that can be fixed.

2). That car is filthy. Everytime I turn around it's dirty and there is stuff EVERYWHERE.

Husband says: Operator Error.

3). The odometer isn't working correctly...probably because of oversize rims. This directly causes speeding tickets.

Husband says: Operator Error and Goodbye.

Shoot! I thought I could trade for a new one! Kidding kidding. I like my car. Ok take your ear muffs off Sewell.

If I came back in a second life...PLEASE make me a car dealer...so I can trade cars every month!

Today, we got to spend some Q-Time with our fake kids....the Morrison boys.

We had a picnic at the park...and I cooked.

Chase gave out free tattoos. So what if they are washable...they are legit.

And we topped it off with a little Wii play with Ty and Milk time for Cole.
WE LOVE THEM! But it was a sad night when we realized they had to be returned to their rightful owners.

Right? Is it? Well, I think it is.

I have to give myself the big "NO MA'AM" to keep myself from buying fall decor.

I have to remind myself that:

A. I don't want to store it during the OTHER 3 seasons. And

B. I'd much rather buy fall clothes than fall decor!!! Can I get an AMEN?!

And one thing I'm POSITIVE about.....you can ALWAYS count on Anthropolgie to fix you up with THE cutest fall wardrobe.

As a poker player. Which is funny because I don't really play poker, but I somehow managed to beat the other 9 people playing against me at the Morrison's house last night.

I was just as suprised as anyone.

But I'll just retire now. I think it was beginners luck.

And since I was out taking everyone's money last night...I thought I'd show you WHAT I WANT NOW! Except I'd have to win the lottery instead of a few poker hands.

And if I didn't win the lottery, then someone would have to buy it for me.

And for my husband to buy it for me...it would have to be about 95% off.

And if that were the case... they probably wouldn't have my size left.

But regardless....I love coats and I'll watch this one like a hawk.....and maybe...just maybe...it will go on sale.

So my friend Jody scolded me for not blogging "like I used to"........I told her I had nothing of substance to say! She said proceed anyway. My husband has been working in Wyoming for 2 weeks which leaves my home remodel and my life on hold for the time being.

Jody of ALL PEOPLE should totally "get" this hahahaha.

Anyway, here's a blog for Jody and maybe the 2 other people that miss me!

My master bath is a crap hole. I seriously want to punch the wall when I walk in there. I've changed my mind dozens of times and it just keeps getting worse!

Including the ceiling after I pulled the 60's wallpaper off!!

YECK!

BUT all of the bedrooms are looking better and I'm now in love with these giant flowers. I have them everywhere. What are they???

Fedders got out today. My grandma happened to be driving down my street and saw him hauling butt down the pavement. Of course you can't catch him and if you try...he runs harder.
But like always...I left the front door open and he came back 20 minutes later. He used to stay out an hour, but his age is catching up to him.
That's ok I can only work out for 20 minutes too.

And for some reason....I want to decorate with antlers. Everywhere. Not sure why.
I think I've narrowed down my "style" to Americana...maybe that's why.
I like the antlers, but have no idea how to decorate with them.

And speaking of decorations....Nothing inspires me about my fireplace. Besides a new screen...what can I do?! Any ideas??? The whole house is wood...so Im scared to go dark, but maybe???

And of course...since my husband is gone and I haven't been inspired on the home front...I treated myself to some new Uggs! Not the ones in the previous post, but just as comfy!

I have to order Uggs when the hubby is gone because he is totally against them, but I swear I wear them EVERYDAY in the winter time!

And finally....I'd also like to give a shout out to Beth Barnard. She posted about having a "dream" laundry room one day. I just wanted to let her know that her "reality" laundry room is quite a jewel compared to my new laundry room....or whatever it is...it's a freakin broiler room or something. I feel like it belongs in a basement or something! Oh well...I refuse to spend much time there anyway.

With my husband working out of town......I have found myself living alone lately.

And I'm exceeding all expectations.

I may be short a few pots and pans, but that's what they make stores for. Because EVERYONE knows it's easier to just throw the pan away rather than wash it. Especially after you burn something.

I found out you CAN watch Teen Mom reruns over and over and it won't make you too dumb to talk. I can't believe Chase told me that show makes you dumb. WHATEV! :)~

And I'm glad I pay the water bill at the Richardson house....because my husband would be so upset(or accuse me of watching too much Teen Mom) that I left the lawn sprinkler going OVERNIGHT. But let's not lose sight of the real accomplishment and that's the fact that I did water the yard and pretty well I might add.

And as usual....I injured myself. This time....busted open a lip with the waterhose. Takes skill. I've got it.

However,
I have noticed other things around the house are NOT working properly with Chase gone.

The coffee pot hasn't been making my coffee for me in the morning or setting out my cup and 2 Equals.

All those dogs I have.... are not feeding themselves. I'm really disappointed.

The trashmen aren't getting out of their trucks to come get my trashcan on the side of the house. Apparently...you have to roll it to the curb..not once, but TWICE a week.

And I'm really starting to wonder if anyone is going to come by and cut my grass?

We moved our furniture over to the new place today!

Chase's Nan celebrated a birthday with us on Friday.

My MIL and FIL threw her a surprise party at their house!

I took a picture of the centerpeice I made for the party before the Texas HEAT swallowed it up.

Oh and here's my husband.....eating apples out of the centerpeice.

My MIL and FIL replaced their fountain with this really cute one. So I told them I'd blog it.

This is torture to the tenth degree.

I just ordered them from Nordstrom and they arrived and I die.

I had to share!!

I ran (seriously) to the computer and ordered the black pair (which they call Blue).

They are made by a brand called Fergie.
