So, I'm just hanging out, doing my Realtor thing.....and I get sooo caught up in excitement that it's not even funny! So I find a really really really good house deal....and I know I promised we would quit buying houses......but it's a REALLY good deal!!!!! So, I'm trying to ignore this deal that keeps knocking on my door (figuratively...because if it was literally...then I might need medication), but I just can't quit it. I talked to Chase and he is on board (for the most part...he still has questions....silly boy....just dive in with both feet...kidding kidding). I was able to contain my enthusiasm for this house until they dropped the interest rates so low....now I'm ALL in....I bet the farm........I don't even have a farm, but I would bet my fake farm any day. Well, I am going to talk to Chase's banker tomorrow and see if we can get it all together and I think we will put in an offer tomorrow morning. It's a long shot, but like the horseraces...those are the biggest payoffs. I'm excited.....this is why I love my job! The thrill of the kill. If the kill even happens...it's quite possible the only thing being killed.....................will be our offer when we present it. Bhahahaa!!
Keep ya posted....
P.S. WE AREN'T MOVING AGAIN!!!! This will be another rental property!!! I'm not moving for a long time.......however, a long time is such a relative term.....that I prefer to use casually!

What a year!
Well, Christmas is over and the day after Christmas is such a sad day (besides all the good sales). The much anticipated holiday and all that comes with it......is now over. =(
This Christmas was extra fun and it will be hard to top next year! I went to Christmas at my Gran's on Christmas Eve and everyone was there. We ate and laughed and had a great time. My Gran also plays this game where all 12 of us pick an unknown wrapped gift and my Gran reads a long story to us. Everytime the word "right" or "left" appears in the story...you pass your secret gift. It gets tricky with 12 people in a circle throwing boxes around to a story that says..."Mrs. "Right", knew is wasn't "right" that she only had $1 "left" to give Mr. "Right" before he "left".....etc etc. When the story ends...you are left with the gift you have in your hand. I got a coffee maker! Christmas day, I woke up to Chase coming in the door. He drove in from Decatur after his shift at 6am!! I hopped out of bed in PJs and no makeup and we drove over to Creech and Linda's for Christmas morning. Their Christmas is always fun. It makes you feel like a little kid again. We all have to wait until Creech and Linda make breakfast and coffee before we can start opening. As we all have gotten older, most Christmas gifts these days are an envelope with a little money inside. Linda won't do that.... so her Christmas is always full of surprises. We all tore into our presents are we had clothes, jewelry, shoes, Wiis, purses, makeup, and everything fun! (Chase and my brother-in-laws did not get jewelry and makeup and purses, but they had likewise fun gifts for boys =)))). Next, we all made a plate with the best homemade breakfast burrittos ever. We spent the rest of the day playing Wii ,eating good food, and hanging out with family. I called my Mom and David at 2 and their phone went straight to voicemail (that means they are taking a nap haha)....so I didn't worry about it....and my mom called at 4 and said that they were about done with their Christmas! WHAT?! I totally missed my Mom's Christmas...I thought it was Christmas night...not Christmas afternoon!! Anyway, I made it over there and we all hung out for a little bit. They are going out of town today and had a lot of packing to do last night so it was pretty low key. This was was a great ending to a crazy and wonderful year. Chase and I both started new careers, we bought another house, moved, and got married. Now we are expecting our first child (JUST KIDDING EVERYONE..JUST KIDDING...that just sounded like the next thing to say haha....once again..JUST KIDDING). So, hopefully next year.....we won't do much but just hang out and chill out! I tried to take pictures of my Christmas' to blog, but my camera apparently didn't charge so I missed out on everything. Here are a few pics of some of my favorite gifts this year!!!!
I collect signs new and old and hang them in our gameroom kitchen. Some people have caught onto this and started giving us signs and funny things that they find for our "bull pasture". Blake and Amber Morrison found this picture from Lonesome Dove and gave it to Chase for Christmas. We love Lonesome Dove and Chase and I both swear that we act exactly like Gus and Woodrow. I act like Gus and Chase like Woodrow. Anyway, we LOOOOOVE the picture and haven't stopped arguing over where to hang it. =) We kind of think of it as a second wedding picture of us. =)

My brother and sister-in-law, Ryan and Virginia, found these magnets for our gameroom fridge. They are tooo cute!! And no Linda, you don't really have to call.

We have quite a wall going!

Merredith got me these awesome little fingerless gloves. I love the little silver heart on them!!!

Linda found some killer little booties for me!!!

My Mom and David found these awesome steak knives....and they had our name put on them...that is always excitng to newlyweds!
Ok drum roll please.........................And now for the ultimate surprise from my husband. It showed up via Fed Ex on Tuesday in an unmarked box with no return address. I opened the box and saw this..........................................................

It had a little card with my name on it and this was written on the inside.

What a sneaky guy that Chase is. Woodrow would never buy a purse like this...only Gus would...maybe he is morphing into a Gus. =) =)

Have a Happy New Year everybody! Chase should be home next year! That sounds funny, but really he will be home in a few weeks!

Heck of a husband and a heck of a Christmas present!
See that handsome man in the picture below? Yep, that's my hubby and that awesome hubby just bought me the best Christmas gift a girl could ever imagine. I know I probably don't deserve it, but he let me have it anyway. I emailed him a black Louis Vuitton from eLuxury.com that I have had my eye on for a while. I NEVER thought he would actually get it! Well, FedEx delievered it today with a card that said......."From St. Nick"...................................I LOVE YOU CHASE and I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED! I cried too. =)
I'll post a pic soon!

Taos 08
Smile! If you know us, and you probably do if you are reading this, then you know we have a great and wonderful condo in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico. Its right on the slope and the most beautiful place you can go. We have practically grown up and grown together in this place. We have spent so many summers and winters in our little piece of heaven on earth. We have had the best times and even one of our biggest arguments here. This place means the world to me and I CANNOT wait to raise our kids going to the mountains in the summer and winter.....I just hope they ski better than me. Bahahha. Memory lane...here I come.

Chase "spots a bear".......Summer '06

Winter 2006....Chase shows the New Mexicans what a skiing cowboy looks like.

Winter 2004

Winter 2008....Ski trip with Blake, Amber, Jeff, and Whitney.....and my dogs of course.

Winter 2008....the extent of my skills

Driving to Taos......we love it haha! The Morrisons and Teagues were following us and had the other walkie talkie. We spent the whole 8 hours talking smack to the Morrisons over that thing.
Our special tree on the hiking trail. We started it in 2004 with the K and C, in 2005 we added the heart. In 2006 we just added the '06. In 2007 we added '07 with an engagement ring next to it........we forgot to put our wedding date for '08, but I will do it next time.

On the road!!! My sweet hubby!

Dugan LOVES the snow. He can't get enough of it.

After the lifts closed on Sunday, Dustin and Chase decided to have a little fun and ski off from the top walkway of the condo. Dustin went first and it was perfect. Chase went next and I wasn't sure how it would work with skis. Well, it didn't work for Chase the first time haha. After that, it was all good.......besides that crazy stray dog Dugan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We made it!
We left for Taos yesterday and we got a late start. Chase had to work in Decatur so we didn't end up leaving until 4pm! We arrived at about 2 am! Anyway, we were driving my grandpa's car for the 4 wheel drive and good golly that is the coolest car ever. It certainly made for an easy and comfortable trip! We saw about 30 elk on the side of the road on the way up. Some were so close you could practically touch them from the car! The snow is gorgeous and I am in heaven!!!

Old pictures
I was cleaning off my old memory card for my new camera (yay) and it had 173 old pictures on it. Here are a few of my faves!
Fedders doing what he does best! Sorry Nan....I hope he behaves.

I guess we don't feed him enough.

I was showing off my new vest to Chase via our camera phones when he started his job.

I LOVE this picture. Chase and his dogfish Dugan

Nothing new..........except a Realtor Banquet Outfit
Not much is going on tonight. I tried to find the National Finals on TV, but I couldn't. Tomorrow I should have something worthy to blog....it's the realtor banquet! I'm not sure if I am excited about going to this thing or not, but I do have 1 smokin' black dress, 1 pair of the cutest grey suede shoes, and a giant purple ring (on loan of course!). If I'm not Realtor of Year...I'll look like it anyway! =) =)

Times are tough
I have to blog one more because I have been blogless for a while....Apparently the economy is in a recession......so my Mom and I decide to do a little shopping after work one day. We start at Hobby Lobby and decide that we would like to save money and that we should go to Ross. We walk around Ross for an hour and end up with a cart full of junk. We have a gut check moment and decide that we should save money and put back things we don't need. So in these rough times, we put back the things we didn't need and ended up walking out with.............2 glitterly leopard scarves, a set of mixing bowls, a table runner, a sequin sweater, a decorative trash can, and an embroidered sweatshirt. Thank god we took the snow boots out. We have alot to learn........................

Man Down!!!!
Ok that last post was waaay too sad. So here is something to take your mind off of it. A giant limb fell off our tree and fell on my house and then fell on the back steps. What the heck! The picture doesn't do it justice. Its the size of my car haha!

sentimental shower radio
Ok so I am taking my nightly shower and I'm listening to my shower radio because I registered for like a gazillion of them and I happened to get a handful. So this song comes on and I have heard the song tons of times before and I'm not really that into it, but I start to smile when he sings every light in the house is on because after all, I do leave every light in the house on when Chase is gone. Then I listen a little longer and I start to get all sentimental (or shampoo got in my eye). I guess Chase has been gone WAAAAAY too long and I REALLY miss him.. He has been gone over a month!! Then I'm taking the song literally....you know our front walk really does look like runway lights (those cool solar lights). And our backyard is like the crack of dawn with all those flood lights....so anyway..... figuratively and literally this is my new song for Chase by Trace Adkins!! COME HOME CHASE!!!! I LOVE YOU!!
I told you I'd leave a light on
In case you ever wanted to come back home
You smiled and said you appreciate the gesture
I took your every word to heart'
Cause I can't stand us being apart
And just to show how much I really miss ya
Every light in the house is on
The backyard's bright as the crack of dawn
The front walk looks like runway lights
It's kinda like noon in the dead of night
Every light in the house is on
Just in case you ever do get tired of being gone
Every light in the house is on
But until then I want you to know
If you look south, you'll see a glow
That's me waiting at home each night to hold ya
Every light in the house is on
The backyard's bright as the crack of dawn
The front walk looks like runway lights
It's kinda like noon in the dead of night
Every light in the house is on
Just in case you ever do get tired of being gone

Happy Holidays!
My camera is officially back! Here are a few pics I snapped like a crazy blogger on Thanksgiving.
My brother Cuatro came home from Tech. It's rare that you actually ever get to see him.

Like brother like sister. We have a "boot problem" He leans more towards the cowboy side and I lean more to the awesome girl boot side.

My mom is little miss Martha Stewart. She decorated like a champ.

My Mom's tree. I think I was outdone, dangit.
